Cacti Flower

Cacti Flower

When you take bloom

The world turns to noon

In your vibrant display

Warning them to stay away

Yet your signs are taken as welcome

Because of the form they set upon

The sting will resound through both hearts

And your world will slowly rip apart

But don’t take away, don’t withdraw

You may think you’re safe again, after all,

It’s not the flower with which you bloom

It’s the mindset to which they’re attuned

Stay awake, stay alive

One day the land will change

And you will thrive
